Develop a key understanding of the position and responsibilities through interviews with the search committee and senior staff.
Discuss the implications of these findings on the position and on the search process.
Build a comprehensive set of key criteria for the ideal candidate and the philosophy of the organization.

Develop target search and candidate ID strategy.
Conduct candidate outreach.
Conduct initial telephone interviews.
Create and deliver candidate prospect reports every three weeks by phone or in person.

SSI conducts in-person interviews with qualified candidates.
SSI examines each candidate’s past performance as it is the best predictor of future performance.
Review candidate report with search committee at the status meeting.
Plan and schedule interviews with the search committee.

Develop an interview strategy including questions and an evaluation system with the client.
Brief candidates on the interview process and provide briefing packages.
Conduct first-round search committee interviews with top 4 to 6 candidates.

Conduct 2nd round search committee interviews with top 2 to 3 finalists.
Ask candidates to do a presentation and use electronic tools assessment in 2nd round.
Check references.
Finalist candidates dine with two or three search committee members.
Assist offer negotiations.
