Andrea brings more than 25 years of senior-level experience in fundraising and donor/alumni engagement to her work with Sterling Search. As a leader in higher education advancement, she has a proven track record of success in major gift development, campaign management, and board leadership.
At California State University, Long Beach, Andrea was responsible for the overall management of a multi-faceted development operation, an alumni affairs department that served more than 300,000 graduates, and a public affairs and marketing division that handled a wide range of advocacy, media, and communications projects.
Under Taylor’s leadership, the university successfully completed its first major fundraising campaign that exceeded its original goal of $225 million. In 2012, she launched the CSULB 49er Foundation, dedicated to managing the university’s private gifts and growing endowment, and served as its first CEO. Taylor’s division received the CASE Circle of Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance in 2009 and the CASE Educational Fundraising Award in 2015.
Previously, at the University of California, Irvine, Andrea served as the executive director of development for the College of Medicine and assistant vice chancellor for UCI’s $1-billion campaign.
Andrea is a member of the CSULB Alumni Association, the President’s Associates, and Women and Philanthropy, She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and her master’s degree in psychology form CSULB.
